How many times you come from work and try to seat and relax watching some telly and your brain doesn’t give you peace? I assume plenty, our brains are hardwired and sometimes it needs more than just seating to relax to actually manage to switch off and have the deserved peace.
Well today I will give you a few simple tips in how to have a relaxed evening, sleep more soundly and wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a new day.
- LEAVE WORK AT WORK
One key thing to manage to not think about work is to make sure you finalise all the key things for the day and make a list of what you need to do the day after, this will make you feel more in control of your tasks and allow your brain not steam up with a million of things to do. Another important tip is to create at home a space where you can truly unwind and relax for a few minutes.
- SET UP A RELAXING ATMOSPHERE
The best way for this is to dim the lights and light some Relaxing Candles, run a bath with some relaxing salts like the Aveda’s Stress-fix Salts and deep yourself in! Don’t forget to put some relaxing background music, close your eyes and let yourself drift off on this relaxing bubble 🙂
- SIP ON A RELAXING TEA
Warm beverages help to soothe and relax. Camomile and peppermint are winner relaxing herbs. Try Aveda Comforting tea.
- TRY AROMATHERAPY
I love to spray my pillow with some relaxing mists and rub on my wrists and temples some essential oils. Usually I also use a relaxing body cream after the bath. Here’s my favourites list:
- MAKE YOUR BEDROOM A SANCTUARY
- COMFORTABLE NIGHTWEAR
- PRACTICE LIGHT YOGA STRETCHES
